Before Photon Health Holdings existed, there was Cloud Pharmacy.
Cloud Pharmacy opened at 55 Dundas Street East in downtown Toronto. It was a standard retail pharmacy in a competitive market — multiple Shoppers Drug Marts and Rexalls within walking distance. On paper, it shouldn't have worked.
What we did differently
We started with free prescription delivery. Not as a promotion — as a permanent policy. Every prescription, delivered anywhere in the GTA, at no charge. People thought we were crazy. The margins on some prescriptions barely cover the cost of delivery.
But it worked. Patients who'd never consider switching pharmacies suddenly had a reason to try us. And once they experienced the service, they stayed.
Then we added student discounts. The Dundas corridor has thousands of university students — TMU, George Brown, OCAD — who are young, healthy, and usually don't think much about their pharmacy. We gave them a reason to.
Then we focused on something no one else was measuring: how patients *felt* when they left. Not just whether the prescription was correct — but whether they felt heard, respected, and cared for.
The results
750+ five-star Google reviews. The #1-rated pharmacy in our market. The #1-rated pharmacy on ChatGPT. $2M in annual revenue. Zero outstanding debt.
No other retail pharmacy in the area has a comparable reputation. Not one.
Why it matters for Photon Health
Cloud Pharmacy proved the model. It proved that patients will choose a pharmacy based on experience, not just convenience. It proved that free delivery builds loyalty. It proved that a hospitality-first approach generates real revenue.
Now, with Photon Health Holdings, we're taking everything that made Cloud Pharmacy successful and building it into a repeatable system. Same standards. Same values. Multiple locations.
The pharmacy at 55 Dundas is where the model was born. 231 Dundas is where it scales.
